Promises on Prayer and Intercession

 

One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord And to meditate in His temple. PSALMS 27.4

The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous And His ears are open to their cry. PSALMS 34.15

The righteous cry, and the Lord hears And delivers them out of all their troubles. PSALMS 34.17

. . . Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me. PSALMS 50.15b

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You. PSALMS 86.5

He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. PSALMS 91.15

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. PSALMS 145.18

He who turns away his ear from listening to the doctrine, Even his prayer is an abomination. PROVERBS 28.9

Then your light will break out like the dawn, And your recovery will speedily spring forth; And your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; You will cry, and He will say, 'Here I am.' ISAIAH 58.8,9a

It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will respond. ISAIAH 65.24

Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. JEREMIAH 29.12,13

Call to Me, and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know. JEREMIAH 33.3

Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened. MATTHEW 7.7,8

And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive. MATTHEW 21.22

"Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." MATTHEW 26.41

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. JOHN 15.7

You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask of the Father in My name, He may give to you. JOHN 15.16

Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. ROMANS 8.34

With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints. EPHESIANS 6.18

Stop worrying about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. PHILIPPIANS 4.6,7

Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; COLOSSIANS 4.2

Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 THESSALONIANS 5.17,18

. . . I [Paul] urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 TIMOTHY 2.1b-4

Now she who is a widow indeed and who has been left alone, has fixed her hope on God and continues in entreaties and prayers night and day. 1 TIMOTHY 5.5

Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. HEBREWS 4.16

Hence, also, He [Christ] is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. HEBREWS 7.25

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. JAMES 1.5

. . . You do not have because you do not ask . You ask and do not receive, because you ask for yourselves with wrong motives, so that you may squander it on your lust pattern. JAMES 4.2b,3

. . . The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. JAMES 5.16b

For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears attend to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. 1 PETER 3.12

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. 1 JOHN 5.14,15

Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. 3 JOHN 2
