I want to share with you some exciting news. I am getting ready to launch a new website media project. I have been working on this idea for several months and am ready to move to phase 2 of the venture. The basic concept is the creation of a dynamic website that provides Christians with accurate and easy to use Bible study resources. I am asking friends and family to consider partnering with me as I prepare for a world wide launch next month.

What is Driving this Mission?

I got a call the other day from an old friend who was my roommate in Boulder in the early 80's. It was good to catch up and we reminisced about the good old days when we dined on Mac and Cheese while exploring the scriptures for hours at a time. My good friend started me down a path that continues to shape my life to this day. An unquenchable desire to discover God through His word. I was taught that seeking God through His word on a daily basis was the secret to a successful Christian walk. I learned that making the scriptures your number one priority in life is not just a goal for pastors and seminary students. I am convinced from scripture that EVERY believer in Jesus Christ is commanded to spend a portion of each and EVERY DAY seeking Him in His Word. THIS IS NOT OPTIONAL!

Sorry for getting preachy on you. Many of you already understand this principle but know it is easier said than done. As I know from experience, this is a very difficult thing to pull off in our very busy lives. How can we possibly commit to an additional 30 minutes a day given our already hectic schedule? This brings me to the point of this letter. Every good ministry, mission or business attempts to provide a solution to someone else's problem. An answer to a question. A response to a need. The purpose of my mission is to come alongside the committed Christian who desires a deeper walk with our Lord. While the Holy Spirit will ultimately receive the credit for a changed life, I hope with this project to break down one of the barriers to this kind of spiritual commitment. Believers need a place to go on the Internet where they can easily get the resources they need for daily Bible study.

If you build it they will come. On the Internet, this is definitely NOT true. In retail, the old adage is "location, location, location". On the Internet, it is "Your website is only as successful as your latest Google ranking". Every day there are over 1 Billion people on-line. Aside from checking e-mail, the #1 reason for internet usage is to find something using a search engine like Google, Yahoo or MSN. Most people search for things by entering two or more words into a search engine to quickly locate exactly what they are looking for. The key for any website is to be found by their customers on the first or second page of the search results. After many hours of research, I have discovered a 3 word search phrase that is used over 18,000 per month by people who are looking for a website just like the one I am building.
